I think the video is about them not being able to cope with their popularity. The eel represents ‘electric feel’, and the machine represents the mainstream market. Andrew, representing their ‘real’ fans, is trying to stop Ben from exposing hidden talent to these people, who represent major radio stations/ record labels, as they will rip out his voice and use it to create something mgmt cant control. they were ‘too’ popular, which is why they released congratulations, such an experimental album.
